In December 2007 the Kersten Hospitality division was founded to combine the strengths of Hotel Krasnapolsky and other hospitality entities at Kersten. In 2008 Bergendal Eco & Cultural River Resort venture in the interior of Suriname was added to the division.

A popular American fast food franchise famous for its signature Cajun Fried Chicken, Biscuits and inspired meals and sides. The first Popeyes restaurant was opened on 11 October 1999. Currently there are 4 Popeyes outlets in Suriname.

Former Hotel Krasnapolsky is in the process of being transformed in a full service 4 star Radisson. The hotel will have 126 rooms, Event Banquet & Conference/Meeting space, Bars & Restaurants, Fitness Center and a Pool Terrace. The opening is scheduled in 2024.
